EMPLOYMENT PROCESS
English Language Proficiency
Nurses will need to pass one of the following English Language tests as part of their UK registration application.
From today, the NMC has extended the period for combining test scores from six to twelve months and updated the minimum scores when test combining. Please be aware that the NMC has not changed the required scores for both IELTS and OET.
IELTS (Academic)
Nurses must achieve a minimum 7.0 score in Listening, Reading and Speaking, and no less than a 6.5 score in Writing.
OET
Nurses must achieve a minimum Grade B in Reading, Speaking and Listening, and no less than C+ in Writing.
